what if...... *drums* SE used s60 in their smart phones? *gasps*
if SE improved the s60 UI, made it more appealing, i bet people will prefer the SE's to nokia, thats only if they didn't compromise the features and stay ahead, or atleast with the others in terms of technology!

Hope that NEVER happens. That would make me never buy SE again.
Anyway, SE leaving UIQ, not gonna happen at least now. I said before, g900 will be the most sold uiq device ever, and both with g700 is the best thing that happened to uiq in a long time.
0n other hand, paris/beibei canceled or not - not a big deal. There will be new uiq devices anyway, and if this means they will use newer hardware solutions, then its for the better..

@Ramintop
My buddy from Nokia says that their touch devices will be very nice to use and very finger friendly indeed. The N series phones are good to use anyway but with touch control, it should be great. He also says that they are trying to cram in as much technology as possible so it does everything like the N95/N96.
SE needs to start making all rounder devices as well, UIQ is good anyway so start making more devices like the G900. SE are deliberately holding back on some of their phones, I understand they have a market strategy but some things like good video recording should be added in Cybershot phones. AF and flash should be on all of their +2MP phones (adding a little LED would not hurt anyone).

Are you insane? 3G iPhone has touchscreen with multitouch, safari web browser, 16GB storage, accelerometer, and you can expand functionality by adding new apps. Its also almost half the thickness of the C905.
Don't get me wrong the C905 sounds great for what it is a high end feature phone. It is not a smart phone, though, and to compare it to the iPhone is not really fair. If all you want is a phone with a great camera then you can't beat the C905, so if that is your criteria then yes, it beats the iPhone, but only in the area you care about.
Why in the world would SE release the C905 with only QVGA video recording? Have you seen an N82 or N95? Full VGA video? Jeez. I don't get it.
And I totally agree, iPhone is for an entirely different audience. You can't really compare just as to say "C905 kills iPhone" is a total joke. C905 has phone and camera features iPhone can't touch. iPhone has multimedia and usability features C905 would kill for. C905 is for the high-end phone freak and camera lover. iPhone is a smartphone for the masses.
I'm pretty disappointed about the no P-phone.
Also I was just checking out SE's C905 web page. It only lists 850 and 2100 bands for HSDPA, in other words, no US support as AT&T is currently only using the 1900 band for HSDPA.
The website is wrong. It is 850/1900/2100. Probably will be fixed overnight.

Yeah, there are usually errors on the specs page until a few days after it's put up. With the K850i, I think when it was announced, it said it had HSDPA 850 but not GSM 850, which is silly. HSDPA 850/2100 is an impossible combination, or unconventional at the very least. The "a" version is for sure triband HSDPA.
Anyone else find it odd that the regular C905 isn't triband?
Also, the QVGA video recording, while a little disappointing, isn't a deal breaker. I personally don't record video all that often, and as such, if this is the only thing thus far people are complaining about, I'd say that's a good thing. Plus, this wouldn't be the first time specs can change--they may decide to enable VGA recording before release.
My only gripe is that the microSD reader from the K850 wasn't carried over.

Very nice pictures, colors were accurate and natural, and there was almost no purple fringing on the highlights, although the compression and noise suppression were clearly evident, the 8mp details were there, so does the sharpness on the subject of focus(especially the leaves shot) it's much better than K850 i can say and i'm pretty impressed

now what can you say @bavlondon?

very similar quality to the N82 except no blur spots like the N82 does (and it pisses me off!). Might have to invest...
