i see what you mean like this from my old k750i
http://www.esato.com/phonephotos/viewphotos.php?pid=10274 ,
it's some sort of noise reduction or something applied by the firmware/cam module, i don't have it this noticeable on my k800i and i'm running exactly the same firmware as you, check my photos
http://www.esato.com/phonepho[....]y+ericsson&model=K800i+special
i suggest you try a different cam driver to see if that helps.

Is it me who is blind?

this is sensor matrix issue, on mathew shots this is much more visible (dunno why) than on my shots. this effect but in different way was in K750/W800/W810 (expect K750 CID49) what is visible on pic posted by number1, we must live with this
BTW. this is connected with autoexposure (when level is middle). that's why on most night shots this effect is unvisible

with the k750i i had to run every pic through neatimage that removed them lines,
@matthew23
this isn't the place to discuss my driver, but if you have this probelm with my driver installed i have my own thread here
http://www.esato.com/board/viewtopic.php?topic=161159, i will say that for some reason these lines with my driver are less noticable or completey gone.
