@ Orange k750i Users.

I've just upgraded to the latest FW (R1L002) and the "Orange" Icons are back on the main menu! they changed the the SE ones in R1J002 but i'm stuck with them again! Has anyone else noticed this?

Read back a few pages...yes.

It was bound to happen, it was clearly a mistake when they took them off. If you want to get rid of them permanently i'd recommend using davinci's update service and changing the cda to a generic one. Worked a charm for me and you can find credits for about 5 euros if you look around.

I have updated since with SEUS and I still have my generic icons.

I sent the following email to Sony ages ago:
=====================
I've upgraded my k750 to the new firmware (RJ1002) using the SEUS. However, the video recording quality has dropped significantly and now performs even worse than my old k700i. Any ideas when this problem will be rectified?
========================
I received the following email today at 1.18pm, but haven't had time to test it yet and am going out so can't test until tomorrow! =(
Does the email mean that a new firmware is out there, or are they just informing me that the SEUS will be available for my phone?(which I already know coz I updated my phone already through it!!!)

You've recieved a generic email... A poster by the name of alex21008 has recieved one just like it - check it out on page 81 of this thread.

How comforting it is to know that goes through the hassle of typing up generic emails to send out to anyone who contacts them.

Oh well. Let's just assume this is because they're allocating every possible resource they have to fixing firmware problems, shall we?

Right, I'm on R1C004 (vodafone specific), I've never had any of the many problems reported by various people and I've had the phone a month, although not being able to use mp3's as ringtones was a pain. I received a voice mail message from Sony E. today stating a new version was available. So if I use SEUS will I get some new vodafone specific version, will I gain anything by doing so ?

Ok need serious help here please. Have been trying to update firmware for days now. Running R1A firmware. Can get to the satge where windows recognises a usb flash drive then i install the update driver. Then nothing happens. I have tried turning it off, I go to numerous SE support pages and they always appear with no content. Have only managed to get the Java sys tray icon once. Using AOL, Java is latest version and I am going crazy.

Cheers

I got a phone call this-morning and was a bit taked a-back when the guy said he was from Sony Ericsson suport asking if my phone was ok and telling me there was a new firmware update that fixed the GPRS issue I e-mailed about. Ohh I said yea i know i flashed the phone a couple of weeks ago but now the video quality had gone down to which he replied yea thats a known problem and would be adressed in the next firmware release in a month or so. I said ok thats good and said good bye still gob smacked they had taked the trouble to phone me. What ever anyone thinks of SE you cant fault theit customer servive can you.

Anyway bottom line they know about the video and are working on a fix

I don't know if it's been said before but the latest version of the SEUS (1.19) ow reports if you've got the latest available FW and asks you if you want to continue (for the record R1L is still the latest).
