At the end of the day assuming it has been cancelled would you not rather SE come back with something that can actually stand up to Nokia on most fronts rather than just simply being laughed of. I know I would. Its not becasue of nothing that SE have dropped down to no3 over the years so they need to pull their finger out and sort it.
C905 is the start hopefully.

The P-series aren't exactly tied into UIQ is it? Maybe suddenly it will come a P20 with WM?
That would be even worse imo. They cant even get the x1 done with all these snazzy graphics they promised so do you really want plain WM? If so your better of with HTC.

What is Paris though?
There are mixed reports about older hardware and not being too impressive, then we know other people (PK) who seem to know more about a device that may or not be Paris.
Like others have said, if this is just a codename then who cares if Paris is dead as there will be another codename around the corner.
Frankly the photos that we've seen of a Paris like device, seem to be a good form factor so what upgrades are we really talking about?
New CPU? More/faster memory? Better onboard graphics?
On the one hand if it's a faster CPU that can be a drop in replacement, then sure it's not going to add much more time and we'll all benefit from it.
If though it requires a new system board, I/O chips, etc... then the delays could mount up.
Ultimately a more competitive product will be launced (we hope), it's just frustrating that it's been over a year since the P1i announcement and several years since the P990, so it just looks like

are falling behind.

Guys, got a response from 'my source'
I asked whether the P model(s) have been cancelled?
The only answer i got was "The P series will continue"
No more info has been given to me, no news on whats been cancelled if anything! and no news on when the announcement of the next P will be.
Make of that what you will, but P series lovers - Its not over
The answer is very obvious and very self explanatory: The P series will continue without Paris and Beibei.

Someone's in a bad mood

. I don't think the people at SE promised X1 to be finished in Q2, did they?
And yes, I guess many people look closely at HTC, even SE. Maybe we'll see SE buying HTC after all.

Even though it's only a rumour there might be a small chance for that... Maybe that's why they cut R&D costs? It reminds me the situation with EA. When they wanted to buy big game developer they cancelled few tittles to have more money.
