@CU... I have been shooting with camera pro since you told me about it... but what method are you using to resize to 12mp... do you mind sharing the steps? ..... Or are you just using PhotoShop and doing a "basic" edit image size?
thanks

Simple downsize mate.. I use Gimp but you can use PS as well. I just make sure that I use the lanczos algorithm to downsize since its the closest to nokia's pureview stuff, or at least this is what I read somewhere lol

Awesome photos.
I received the bluetooth shutter, sadly only works with camera pro 2.2.8
it doesnt work with the latest camera pro 3.5 or camera pro net edition 1.0 (the bluetooth/wifi controlled one)
Harald Meyer, the developer, has been very helpful at all times. I think he changed something when moved from 2.x to 3.x
not gonna argue with him the reasons for this, and im thinking returning the remote. Or keep it. Not sure, is handy though and might work in other phones I might get in the future.

You see... most of us who actually use an 808 and don't mind Symbian are in fact forced to switch to something else. If there was any sort of support for Symbian I wouldn't even bother looking at anything else.
For me a 720p screen with any sort of snapdragon + faster 1gb RAM would be sufficient for another 2 years at least. QT5 would've been great as well.. more powerful apps, and more of them... if Nokia didn't close the store of course.
I also don't understand the trendy urge to switch phones every 6-8 months.. you don't change your PC every 6 months because its a complete product, it doesn't need to be changed because it works and it does what it does well.
So what's up with smartphones ? What's different ?

I totally agree with you.
I've had so many different Symbian phones since the 7650 I've lost count and loved using them all and would continue to be using them today if the support was there.........but its not anymore.
I also agree with the author of the topic when he says that Symbian now feels like its was built for a different era.
Sometimes you have to move on and roll with the changes
I just don't see how the aforesaid article is biased, its seem a very level headed and quite well written article.

Things get a little tricky with that statement to be honest..
Do you mean that the foundation of the UX was built for different era ? Because that statement really doesn't make sense on a OS level... EKA2 is built to live in the mobile world, unlike NT (WP), Linux (andro), and Unix (iOS) so that makes it very much suitable for the current era of communication devices.
All Symbian needed is good engineers that can port it to newer SoCs and faster RAM... everything else about the OS is as modern as it gets.
There were on the right path here:
http://www.intomobile.com/200[....]-multi-core-cpu-configuration/
but we all know how that went..
Here, read this:
http://www.informit.com/articles/article.aspx?p=1578523
it might give you a better idea of what Symbian is all about.
