Here's what happened to them: they reviewed the phone and they thought it was really, really good.

I'm not sure we need a conspiracy theory to explain it.

Good review but the did say only the centre of photos are sharp the rest is blurred and they said that's not cool.

And you can't have a go at me as Phone arena are the ones saying it.

^ just to correct your manifest tunnel visioning on xperia flaws ... that line was referring to indoor shots, not to all shots of the z2.

still, it doesn't change the fact that your favorite flagship was beaten by a 0.1 point difference.

That's poor though isn't it there's no excuse for the blurring.

The S5 has a better camera though I think.

The only review I'm awaiting is the one from GSMArena. Unless most review sites they measure much scientific data, share them and you can easily compare it to any other phone.
I'm looking especially for db of the speaker, screen brightness and reflectance, headphone jack quality and the picture comparison (they are like the only people in the world who are able to take a picture of a test chart wtf!).

Z2 did well there but sony need to sort the focus hunting out in the videos I thought they would have sorted that as it was on the Z1.

As a trade off between over aggressive focusing to unstable videos (In 4K) I think I would choose the focus issues rather than video that is almost un usable due to lack of stabilisation and I think most people would agree.
