Has there been a solution for the disappearing camera problem yet? First firmware I had no trouble, second the camera disappeared after a week. I installed the latest firmware a few days ago, which seemed to fix it, checked my phone this morning and the camera isnt working again. Has it been confirmed whether this is a hardware or software problem?

Ok need serious help here please. Have been trying to update firmware for days now. Running R1A firmware. Can get to the satge where windows recognises a usb flash drive then i install the update driver. Then nothing happens. I have tried turning it off, I go to numerous SE support pages and they always appear with no content. Have only managed to get the Java sys tray icon once. Using AOL, Java is latest version and I am going crazy.

CheersPersonal opinion, KEEP R1A!!!

@Voda UK users,

SEUS is on again, allowing updates to R1L, just done it with no problems

...but doesn't allow mp3 without DRM as ringtones
A mate has just got a new fone from Voda this week with R1L that does allow it...

Updated firmware via SEUS yeterday, uk 02 network. Update went fine with no problems from original to R1L002.

Tested supplied bluetooth Bluetek G2 Headset and all same traits still there. Disconnects Audio etc between phone and headset. Cannot see any improvement here.

@staiano:

Yeah, I know. I was half-joking when I wrote that, but text is such a bad medium for conveying subtleties of the mind, isn't it?

is a big company, and as you say, they probably get tons of similar emails. Their phones would probably cost ten times as much if they were to write personalized email responses to everyone with a question.

So, while not deliberately being impervious to their customers, the auto-replies from does lend credence to the metaphor of the elephant shrugging off pesky ants.

All in all, I can't say I'm dissatisfied at all. I've only ever had one hang with my phone, and one "Memory Stick unavaiable" even though it was inserted. Other than that, the phone is great!

I get to the point where SE update service appears. A window pops up with the messages:
* Remove the phone..........
*After that hold the c key......
*The update should start within 15 seconds.....

After that the phone restarts by it self
Why?

You need to install the SE update service driver available on their website.

I mucked up the driver installation for the flash disk and so now need to use my spare "clean" windows drive which has the driver loaded correctly.
