Hmm, so are you saying we will get the 5MP slider we saw and thought was Paris, but it will now be called Hecaro and have upgraded hardware? It will still look the same?

the fact is
the rumour that Paris is cancelled is true, but not Paris as a phone or project, just Paris as Hardware platform
always changes the codename if they change/upgrade the hardware, just some internal recognistion stuff ( they just said Hecaro & Paris to recognize it wether they meant the new or old hardware platform ), and coz Paris has been upgraded, then Paris is cancelled and long live Hecaro

Paris = the new P flagship in old Hardware
Hecaro = the same new P flagship in new Hardware
so when the rumours that Paris is cancelled floated, is true as the cancelled is ( the new P flagship in it's old Hardware ), and the later wont be canceled unless there's ( a new P flagship in new Hardware ) wich is Hecaro
any way, where's all those frustrated guys here about Paris being old Hardware, your wishes comes to live with
as they upgraded Paris to Hector

Any idea when it would be announced?......very soon?
Looking forward to some (small?) leaks from people in the know regarding this supposedly new P...

well this is a surprising event, and im ecstatic to see SE hard at work. im happy that the reviewers held nothing back in disgust. this bodes well that they want to rethink the application.
time for them to look at HTC and say hey we can do that better and with a little soul. the touch pro looks nice, something about not having a HUGE bezel around a screen.
any capabilities that will be added to what we assumed/gleaned from the previews of paris?
i hope they redesign it with a little balance his time.

But Hecaro sounds good at least if its using new hardware.
All I really want is a sucessor to my P1 in that same candybar form factor but with a decent sized screen.
So when can we expect some specs or dare I ask spy pics?or clues as to what form factor it is?

Paris, the phone we saw the last few weeks, has been cancelled.
And in its place, is 'Hecaro'.
So Paris was cancelled for what ever reason, maybe as it was considered under spec'd by many. So
decided to scrap the old Paris hardware, replaced it with new stuff, aka, Hecaro.
so basically, Hecaro = Paris with new hardware.
Or has Hecaro been around for some time?

The thing I dont get is the insiders here were praising Paris so much claiming it had OMAP 3rd gen chipset ect....and in the end all we got was the old hardware.
So the new rumor is that Hecawhatever is running on new hardware. Is this just to take the place of Paris in the rumors as most people have noe clocked on to Paris being cancelled?
I think the insiders here need to take a step back and not hype this up so much like the messiah as was done with Paris as it will just cause more dissapointment if it flops like Paris did. If im wrong of course ill eat my words but going on what we have seen this time I think we should not get our hopes up.
