@ Jits,
Ya, India are really on a roll at the moment. Zaheer Khan has been impressive in this test series, and I'm glad that Sachin Tendulkar has been able to silence his critics of late with his current form. But Anil Kumble's maiden century has been the highlight of this third test for me.
After all these years, going back to when he and Kapil Dev were even team mates touring SA for the first time in '92(!) I think, for him to do this at this stage in his career must be really special for him. Such an iconic spin bowler.

England have a horrible habit of misfiring at sporadic intervals in their cricket matches. There's occasional elements of brilliance, but too few and far between to equate into favourable results.

Howzit Gucci.
Ya Monte Casino remains one of my fave Jozi places. Love the attention to detail on both the huge, fortress-like exterior and the decor inside that virtual Monte Casino village. What a place.
Hell, R450 bucks a ticket. That's about the equivalent price of the big West End theatre production tickets here. I should hope it was worth it, LOL.
I'd have to agree that the N93i is a damn fine looking phone; much classier-looking than its N93 predecessor IMO, especially that display's revised exterior. Looks the biz!

Oh my gawwwdd, i cant see what you are on about, i had my N90 for some time now and the pics are superb, (And i cant take good pics).

I guess its different from person to person, but the one thing i am certainly happy with on my N90 (as i hate blokia) is the camera.

Just my 2 cents

@rhino - Well, I managed to have (4) K750i's on different ocassions . . . and the images taken with the N90 does NOT even come close with that of the K750i . . . . Cams on N70 and N90 are almost the same . . .

Just my 1 centavo here matey . . . !

A fairly average-looking pub in Higham, Kent, taken with the N73 on Saturday morning.

But in the pub's car park..:

Suddenly a Jeep Cherokee doesn't look that big...

My pal Dale checking out an armoured car:

What strange car park; a wide range of horsepower present, starting from 1bhp in the left background... :

Good morning, Jojo!
Hope you're having a good weekend, matey.

Just thinking, how about a few phonepics around your part of the world for us to see? I know there's the pic thread, but it'll be cool to check out some cellphone pics of/around Manila etc.

Ja Wangs. At the moment unfortunitely UIQ3 is looking like the Dark-side to me.Dont get me wrong. This phone has never given me any problems. It just doesnt feel right if you know what I mean. Some days I absolutely adore it and some days I have to put on the blinkers.I remember the screen on my korean friends E61.It was so vibrant. The colours jumped out at you and everything was so crisp and clear.Funny thing is the screen is the exact same size as the P990i but because its landscape, pyscologically it just feel so much bigger even though its not.

What price-tag do you think I should put on my P990i with 2gb memory card? Putting it up on www.vottle.com Going to even try maybe find someone with a E61i on the site who might want to make a straight swap.Maybe I'll get lucky.

I see you still refer to the P1i 'piggy bank fund.' Does that mean you are still adamant thats the phone for you?

Priced some phones on the Virginmobile.co.za website today and I dont know if its just South Africa but the prices seem exorbitant.Tried to do a side by side with the virgin uk but they never had the same phones up to compare.(Wangs maybe you can get me prices over there)

Nokia N93 R8294.00 (played on one.very nice)
Nokia N95 R7844.00
SE P990i R6144.00
HTC Tytn R7944.00

How do those prices compare with your providers over there on pre-paid Wangs or am I making a fuss over nothing.

Can you believe the P990i is still sitting at 6 grand.?

Keep that blog up and happening Jithraq.Share your spirituality with the world.By the way Im also a saggitarius.Us saggies are a strange bunch of folk.

Brix your email signature is very peculiar. But yes,I feel the same way funnily enough.Thats why if I do bath I tend to have to take a shower straight afterwards.

@ Hobbs,

I hear you, boet. I've had certain phones which I thought I'd be keeping long term, but just didn't 'gel' with some, whether due to interface, OS, etc and as such either sold them or gave them to family members, for example. The fact that I've kept the P900 for so long is testimony as to how the majority of what the phone offers and does suits my specific requirements, and to that extent I suppose I seem to naturally gravitate/look forward to getting a P1i at some stage this year.

I think the P1i is currentlty the phone for me. There are few other touchscreen/stylus input with decent auto-focus cam phones out there at the mo, and those aspects are very high up on my pecking order of basic specs. There's the forthcoming W960i too, and if HTC start putting better cams in those li'l HTC Touch beauties out there, I'll give Windows Mobile a go again. ( I used to have a SPV C550 which had WindowsMobile 5.0 as its OS).

Sorry boet, but as I'm a bit out of the SA cellphone scene as such, I don't have a cooking clue as regards the going rate in SA for a used P990i + 2gig memory card.

The networks here generally don't bother with such high end phones for PAYG. That's for contracts or people with the moola to buy them cash/sim-free.
The networks do subsidise mid and low-range handsets very well, though.

Out of that list, only the N95 is on PAYG, which is also on Virgin here.
http://www.virginmobile.com/v[....]51-391A-4DA6-9AF1-23BD0DBA7358
The others are available on contract or bought 'sim-free' from independent cellphone retailers here like Expansys, Mobile Fun and Mphone, for example.

I got these prices from the above-mentioned sites:

N93: no longer stocked.
N93i: £384.95 (approx R5400)
N95: £419.95 (approx R5900)
P990i: £195.95 (approx R2750)
HTC TyTN: £409.95 (approx R5750)

Hey, BTW, I'm also a Saggitarius, boet! Yeah, strange bunch indeed...

I agree @ Ama,Monte realy is a great place, they have now extended it and even built an area almost like Sandton Nelson Mandela Square, but at Monte in the middle of the square theres a singing/dancing fountain realy cool.
Yes the N93i looks a lot better than the N93, when i saw the N93 up close i was shocked by the size of the screen part of the phone but when i saw the N93i i was amazed how much that screen part was slimmd down it realy is a beauty now
lol thats hectic parking lot, some heavy and powerful machinery there and they are dam good pics! Crystal clear!
WOW the N93i is more expensive than the N95!?im a bit suprised, but then again N93i is pretty rare
