make sure you select a option home/work or any other kind of event on the left. I think i had a similar problem when I tried to use my own created type of even

Picked up my iMac today!

Specced it with 2GB RAM, wireless everything and it's teh 20" 2.4Ghz model.

How do I go about using Time Machine? Can't really work it out as Macintosh HD isn't coming up on there..

um, basically do a fresh install. But when you are about to do it, go to finder and then disk utility.

Select your hc click format, then go to partition, slect 2 partition then make the size you want.

alternatively get ipartition or one of the programs:

just be carefull as you dont want to delete your data without some form of backup.
