Actually Tizzo, was right, it looks lke there are a few Z3 screen protectors with the same cut-out in the very top corner for the LED. That is what I was referring to as an unknown to me, but it is now explained.

Nice evolved design. i like the shiny metal frame and that they went back to the minimalist front speakers design.
i think we can definitely expect a sony press conference announcement next month.

I thought the LED was much lower, Sony should have no moved it from the speaker grill.

@ascariss - i actually like that they moved it away from the speaker grill. i think the notification is much brighter and easier to see when it's on its own than when it is in the speaker grill. the light is in the speaker on my Z1 and it is difficult to see sometimes without getting close to it whereas the notification on my Xperia S, is bright and lights up a whole dark room. very easy to see from far away. i'm glad they moved it.. but i guess this is based on personal preference
