As far is i'm concerned the CMOS on the K750 is very good, the image quality is excellent (colour saturation and contrast are the best i've seen for a CMOS/CCD cameraphone so far). There's also no edge softness or blurring like the K700.
I have a £400 Canon digicam, so if i want decent 5mpx CCD images, i'll use that, if i want a few fairly good snaps then i'll use the K750.

You can find CMOS sensors in the best most expensive dslr cameras.
Both sensor have weak points and strong points, the overall quality depends on the quality of the individual sensor used, not if its a cmos or a ccd. CCD sometimes gives sharper pictures, while CMOS often gives a more natural and pleasent looking picture. But its not a rule, it depends on the individual sensor. You can find very good expensive CMOS and CCD sensors and very poor cheap CMOS and CCD sensors.
The main reason for manufacturers to choose ccd over cmos is not quality but simply that they are often cheaper than cmos sensors. The main reason why cmos is used in mobilecams are smaller size and less batteryuse than ccd, but now they can produce a ccd lens thats small enough to fit into the small body of the K750 then they will choose this because its cheaper. It wont nescesarily produce better pictures, that will depend on the quality of the ccd-sensor they will use.
Waiting untill christmas just because of this may very well turn out to be a big dissapointment to those that wait if they expect the cam to automatically be much better.

@ Patasenko, dont believe everything you read. It makes no sense for SE to change the K750i's components to more expensive ones, when they're not going to gain anything from it.
Also, the CCD vs Cmos discussion is pointless - its already been proved that they're both as capable as each other.

Macro mode is when the lenses are placed in such a way that pictures can be shot from objects at very short distance (and only at very short distance).
Auto focus is when the camera is capable of automatically adjusting the lenses so that the object aimed at is in focus.

That is exaclty what i thought... but i cant seem to find auto focus.

You wont find it, auto focus happens when you half press the camera shutter key - its not a shooting mode like macro / night / scenic etc.

Play around with it, and you'll notice the difference.
Also try out the spot photometry.
I cant wait to get my K750i, hopefully in less than 2 days i'll have it.
