and what improvements can be had with the new updates?
Just checked mine and it says I have version : R1L002
Do I still need to update or is that the latest guys?

Hi guys,
My K750i runs on R1L002 (updated through SEUS) but does not have the "My friends"-feature in Messaging. Instead, I have the "Call voicemail"-feature.
Software log shows that I have "Generic trade Netherlands"-CDA (CDA is 102338/48).
What do I have to do to get the "My friends"-feature?
Do I have to change my CDA in a generic one (for instance 102337/9, which is Generic EU1)?
Do all generic EU's have the "My friends"-feature?
I appreciate all of your help.

Well, at work I have been setting up a number of K750i's - one thousand in total... And some have the older firmware R1A044 rather than R1L002. So that gave me a chance to check out the video / photo issue.
To cut a long story short the newer firmware R1L002 compresses the photo's / video's more than R1A044. For example, a photo taken with A was 540k, whilst the same photo with L was 440k. A 30 second video was 15% larger in size on A than a video on L.
I have a direct link to a UK SE rep and will be ringing her on Monday about this issue (especially as all the phones should have the same firmware!)

I've got two K750i's here @ home, with CDA 102338/16 (O2 branded) and 102337/101 (AP unbranded). Both have My Friends. So yes, I guess you need to change your CDA with something like DeVinci...

updated to R1L002 and everything works now, GPRS and everything! video is still a bit poo though, should i expect another update soon enough then?
i don't mind these doing these updates, never flashed a phone before and because they have no idea, my mates think its rather impressive when i fix their K750s......
ive had so many pints bought for me recently!

I have a new Sony k750i and I am on O2 UK. My firmware is R1J002.
I can read and have searched the forms but I am still stuck.
I have downloaded the usb driver update and now when I go through the seus i check all the boxes and then i go next and then the screen changes and nothing happens.
Any help that requires me to install 3rd party software is not an option.
