Speculation:
If the top and bottom bezel is meant to comfortably hold the device in landscape when taking pic, then i do not think the camera should be so close to the edge, as the back pictures leaks showed.
Otherwise you would always have your fingers in front of the lens and have to hold it in weird ways not sure how it can be comfortable.
So this front may correspond to the device described by Maia. It would make sense as, as vikeviki said, the currently leaked pictures show a lens of the size of the z, which sounds incompatible with much higher sensor size, unless Razec or other enthusiast photographer can confirm it is possible.
Two more things making me think the camera being potentially specific to this model:
- the image leak is the camera app
- the shutter button seems to be thicker than previous xperia models, maybe linked to improvements so the phone moves less when taking a pic, unlike xperia A.

but the leak pic and the render look pretty match...
Except for the speaker at the top front which render doesn't have. And we don't know what's covered to the right of the speaker.

Seems it will come with the usual amount of docomo bloatware.
Will 2gb of ram be enough?

Could be... Well in any case, recent leaks seem to be very much alike;

The only question remains is whether this is Z2 or Honami...

Well you sound like a guy that would be most satisfied with updated Z with S800, with almost all the benefits of Honami (minus the huge camera) and more pocket friendly measures.
I don't know if Z2 is gonna happen, but if so, you should really consider it.

Not really. I have never liked Xperia Z. Too big for my liking and cheap looking (front).
Omnibalance should not be the term Sony have associated with their design theme for their high-end phones this year as they do not know about balance. How can you consider a phone having an omnibalance design if the bezels are just too big?

We really have run out of things to complain about when our biggest complaint starts being about bezel!
Come on! Everyone rants about all that Sony falls short in including into their flagships. Now when they are trying their very best to include the best of everything in the next one, ppl start complaining about the bezel width? How ridiculous! Obviously the handset will end up being a little bigger with all the things we users want in a phone these days.

No issue with the bezel, it may very well be justified by the internals and use case.
Just a few days to go before Paris, hope we will see new device(s)

Omnibalance has nothing to do with the bezel size.....not really sure what you're point is.

so with the new "official render" pics out and about..
the blog/news sites have been blowing up. I see it all on my twitter feed and I click on a few of the articles to take a look to see what they say. Many don't even bother using pics without watermarks and don't cite the source (ha!). Most get the information just flat out wrong, based on what we know on this thread. It's laughable that these places can "report" news and that they get any followers. I should start my own news site ..
anyway..
@someone who said there's no speaker at the front top.. are you sure? it looks like there is an obvious one to me.
I don't really have a problem with the design. I mean come on.. look at the Z Ultra. That thing is a master piece and shows off the omnibalance philosophy splendidly. I very highly doubt Honami, when it arrives, will disappoint. What we've seen so far are just renders. I look forward to seeing actual photos of a device that we KNOW is supposed to be Honami. In the end, we don't know if its Honami or Z2. though I think Z2 is a better name than i1.
I think an updated Z, with an S800 and better screens (if it exists) would be ok to release with Honami. Essentially, it would sit between the current Z and Honami in specs and price. That way they wouldn't be killing any of their models but giving a few very strong, and clear, choices.
