just to advise the 5800 xpress music(tube) is not nokias highend touch device but just an interim device untill there touch flagship is released in 2009. i hope/believe SE are trying to develop one of there own. i know touchscreen is not the be all and end all but i think it is currently the best solution to having a large high quality screen on a suitably sized phone. if not for the iphones low spec sheet i would have one in a minute as it look a good solution for what the younger generation are using phones for ie ebooks, videos, internet annd music but all this talk about nokia and SE i think we shoul also take note of android which is creeping up and startingto look good

In my opinion, no. Here's something to ponder over: if SE came out with a N95 with touch screen and a keyboard, it would be their flag ship. Well, that's how far behind SE is, they need to work hard to stay in the game.

True. But still, people need to draw the line between what they need and will use, and what they want or would like to see. To be fair, I really really doubt Id need specs to be better than N95. Make it an SE with touchscreen, UIQ 3.3, A keyboard and all round SE flare and whats not to like. From a company perspective Nokia are behind SE, thanks to the X1. So theres no point arguing that SE arent flexing their high end muscles, because they are. People may say the G900 is missing this or that extra little feature, but all the core attributes are there, besides, if any extra was added people would complain when it isnt thin anymore. But even so, to keep those whod complain happy, the C905 came along. We high enders are getting what we want in pretty good doses, Id say. If it keeps coming like this, there really is absolutely nothing we can complain about, because itll only get better. Remember that SE isnt as concious of specs as other companies. But also remember that other companies arent as conscious of consumer's satisfaction with a product as SE. I stand by that statement.

well, from my experience with this forum and other, even if

made that N95 clone, but added touch UI & 8.1 MP camera and Optical zoom and every thing they could suck in that thing, some will say ( no if only it had IR port ), and the other will say ( I hate UIQ, I want OSD ), the next will say ( where's the full qwerty ? ) ad his brother will say ( nope the half qwerty )
so what is the solution ??
I think the only thing

can do to satisfy those almighty users is to make a DIY phone that you go to the dealer and said I want this and this and this and this, and that's it...
but believe me even if

did that, some will come and say ( why there's no option to have 19'' LCD on the phone ? )

The point is that you cant please everyone. Thats why theres is a range of solutions. And a pretty damn good one at that. But inevitably, there will always be something missing I suppose.
