I have a T-mobile contract (as well as O2, Voda etc) and UK T-mobile told be today that they are expecting the P990 in June - this is the first time they have confirmed this to me as I have asked them twice before last month. Unfortunately they can't give existing customers any priority for early shipments!

@jonny05, where did you get that date from? Last time I checked, on the intranet on enterprise devices it clearly states mid july? That was only a few days ago I believe!

Ok, so its safe to assume the p990i is delayed again. That's certainly a problem for me as my P910i is on its last legs. I'm bloody not paying 600 quid for a new P910 !!

I can't believe I'm concidering this but I might have to forget about the p series all together!

Has anyone taken a look at this?

If I have to wait until July for a new phone then as far as I'm concerned, the p990i has big competition. This Fulitsu might not have a radio but it does have built in GPS!

Why? Nobody has heard anything for sure and that article which was posted that talked about delays till August/September time was seemingly updated with SE denying any further delays.

Although you are certainly right about one thing - if the P990 is further delayed it will have serious competition from the FS T830, and HTC Hermes based devices - especially in the corporate marketplace where Windows Mobile is more likely to be the default choice.

SL33PYH34D,

Could you point me to the article where Sony Ericsson has made a press statement that the P990i is still on schedule for a June launch date.

So far, there is only news vacuum from Sony Ericsson public relation department.

TIA.

All ive seen is them saying "Its still on target and not delayed" but not actually mentioned what 'on target' is.

dannyoneill,

I concur with what you have said.

We have heard nothing from Mr Rikko Sakaguchi and Mr Jan Wareby about the launch date of the P990i too.
