@bavlondon2,

H.264 support has been there since the BB Pearl 8100 last February (in .mp4 or .mov - yes Apple's iMovie & Quicktime format; non protected). Its there in the Curve & also there in the Bold & 8800 series as well.

Memory leaks are the thorn in the BB's side; Java's achilles heel. However, there IS a known problem of going into "Switch Application" 25 times will cause the memory leak - or so I've read on BBForums; and I've experience this pretty close to that frequency on my Ol' 8100.

Curious do you leave apps running when you no longer use them? Or what is your memory setitngs for Media set to?? I only ask because you're 8120 should be more stable to this. Any large attachments that were viewed after downloading them?

Hoping others can narrow the issue down & assist in squashing it. I got a LOT of reading to do between now & Friday to refresh my skills on BB - its been SOOO long (4mths).

Hey guys,

I just got my BB 8310 and I'm on the lookout for some navigation software, which stores the maps locally (i.e on the sd card) so that I don't have to load them everytime via GPRS .. has anyone any good links to manufacters?

I'll be looking for some software like that shortly too!

Also whats the highest capacity card an 8310 will take? Will it take a MicroSD HC 4GB card? or is 2GB the limit?

Try Nav4All.

@ Burgaz - OS 4.5.0.18 will go to 16gb supposedly.

But i know 6gb will work. good to have you back on a BB. Now we can abuse you everyday....
