X1-> WM. If we go that way I would first look at HTC Touch pro (AKA Raphael).
I'm talking about Symbian devices. X1 with Symbian, now that would be something to take seriously.
Deep down I am still hoping for a P990 form factor though, with flip

I am not very good with technical matters, but would it really be that difficult for SE to use the hardware platform of the X1 and put symbian and then UIQ on it? I mean basically they would only need change the software?!? correct me if a am mistaken.... And then using the same hardware platform maybe without the Qwerty (not everyone needs it, some people prefer slimmer formfactor) with UIQ?
Like I said I am not very good with technicalities

The only problem with UIQ 3.3 is that it doesn't support resolutions higher than QVGA. If you remember, there was a conference last year when SE has shown UIQ future project. There was a presentation of new WVGA UI. I suppose that WVGA support will be available in UIQ 4...

Note the iphone doesn't use the usual type of touchscreen. It uses heat sensor to detect finger position rather than pressure which make it more sensitive. My point is that our usual touchscreen is not sensitive enough to make multitouch practical.

Well if youre SOOOOO F**king obsessed with specs, surely you cant expect the OS and absolutely everything else to be exactly as you want it. You really must realise that youre not the only one they have to make handsets for, and you can only buy what is offered to you, at the end of the day. So perhaps you should stop dreaming of the perfect handset and be realistic for now.
