I had the same problem with my DSLR but I realised I hadn't pushed the switch on the lens to 'AF' and adjusted the knob next to the viewfinder to focus the view.

No,it was not that issue with this. It was actually broken
Not going to bother for now sticking with my Samsung EX1 for time being. To be honest although photos were quality video was shit & screen was poor
