gmail works fine
I was under the impression that Google had stopped gmail through active sync (early this year) and that now you would need something like Neuvasync for accessing gmail. I thought that if you already had an account setup you were Ok but if you had to rest your phone or open a new account up then it wouldn't work ?

I remember using it on my old N8 & E5 & the syncing was always delayed

I had Gmail working fine on my old Symbian handsets but I thought that Google has stopped ActiveSync to move to the CardDav/Caldav protocol. If you had an account setup you were fine but if you tried to set up anew account it wouldn't work

Mine goes trough imap, but I don't remember if I had it set up before they took away active sync, or if imap is affected by any of that.
Here are my settings in case you need a reference
But just to be sure, ask Steve ... he would know for sure

I dont believe that Z2 and S5 is better...
S5 and Z2 takes ugly photos for me, N808 is faaar better
They still have the 808 ahead in terms of IQ, but just by one point which is basically saying that they are on par.. but if you look at photos from all of the phones you will see that this isn't the case.
The difference in video recording is a bit strange as well..
And then you have the LED flashes outperforming xenon ... GS5 has a score of 82 for flash and the 808 has 81

Well reviewers are often biased or plain blind. Most Android phone cameras produce over processed images unnatural looking which most people seem to love. Samsung is actually the worst offender for over processed images.
