Thanks Eamonn.Ijust got given a bottle of smirnoff so that should keep of occupied for a while. Has anyone but me noticed that when you try and write smirnoff with t9 on it comes up as poisoned? Coincidence? Ed. What version of xp are you running? Cos i can send you pro if you want. If you wanna keep xp and me/98 whatever, why dont you make it a dual boot system?

have you ever run the xp update wizard that checks for compatibility of your hard & software? its on the disk.

The only things you should need to install driver wise is the graphics card, sound card and modem. If you have a ac 97 sound card (onboard) the drivers will be on the motherboard driver disc. Once the vga drivers are installed the computer should recognise your monitor as a default bog standard one

yeah i ran the wizard and it said my graphics card was a problem.. my soundcard to and a few more.... i updated them all when i got it installed though? i think it is definitley a graphics card prob although on a couple of other forums i posted on they say it is prpbably the creative 5.1 soundcard and to take it out.. at this point i thought f*ck it.
need a copy of win2000 now.
is it definite u can use 98 to sync ur p800? i haven't read it in the manuel?
also is there no other way of getting stuff on ur phone such as dloading apps via internet on it??
cant believe it doesnt support 98..
