Of course SE will continue releasing UIQ devices as Nokia will continue releasing S60 phones.

SE may release a low/mid end UIQ3 device but I doubt even that, all SE will release is plenty of toy phones. UIQ is dead. End of story.

I agree, I very much doubt that SE will release anymore UIQ phones. However, IMHO the OSE-phones (are they called features phones) are far from toy phones. The high ends got most of what people want and need (in 95% of the case much more than what they use) and they're usually MUCH faster than UIQ phones.

I think that the meeting schedule at SE headquarters are quite busy right now, what to keep, what to throw away?

Is a replacement for the P1 due soon?

According to the following phone shop:
http://www.mobilefun.co.uk/product/14957.htm

"Limited stocks available, this product is soon to be discontinued."

I really hope they don't think the replacements are the G700 and G900

Some time back PK said that there would be a number of devices with the Beibei scroll wheel, do you still stick with that PK?

Just an observation; PK (and others 'in the know') has been awfully quiet the last (couple of) week(s)...

PK is probobly listening to music on a new Walkman W960 replacement proto, touring the World and taking shots with his C905 while e-mailing and messaging with his P10. He doesn't have time for Esato, keeps him busy and I bet he loves it.

To the testers out there; if you get a proto and you don't like the buttons for example, would change the buttons because you say so? Do you have any input into the phone's design or do you test the retail ready products?

Does Linda have LightEffects, and will there be a NonWalkman branded version like with w580i/s500i ?

where are exactly the differences between w760 and this one ?

especially the design (maybe Linda doesn't have GPS, I didn't check).

I think Linda is successor of W910 and W760 is successor of W580.
m-one, what do you think ?

@darknoob: I think that makes more sense. Especially as you seem to think Linda's specs are a bit more high-end than a W580i replacement would be.

After some consideration I've now decided what to do. I'm getting a P1 (it's quite cheap now) which should satisfy my requirements until next summer. Then I will probably get an HTC Touch Pro (the price should come down to an acceptable level by then), which I will keep until the new Symbian platform devices begin to surface. I will reevaluate the situation at that time.
What can I say, I absolutely need a touch screen and an FM radio and currently P1 is the only device that has these - among others.
