moogoo - I'll be looking at how big the jump is in specs but if, ultimately, the flagship looks like any of the renders then yeah, I'll be tempted to.

@goldenface - YES! do it. i'm looking to upgrade too and hoping this year's flagship is what I'm looking for. I have always said I'd get a pixel if not a sony, but pixel's hardware woes with the pixel 4 have me worried about that choice.
really hoping sony announce something really tempting. i'm sure it will be a big jump for me from my XZP and quite frankly, i need to upgrade as my XZP, while it works great for the most part, does not get great LTE signal and loses wifi connection for no reason whatsoever. Probably due to my dropping it too much but hey it's been almost 3 years.. so it's about that time anyway.

2. Have you seen the real world situation there so that you can judge the phone right by those samples?
3. The details are pretty good there, even in 100x. It's normal that the shot is full of noise but those aren't even blurry. That's impressive and looking at those samples only made me think that the phone is truly great at producing good images.
4. Samsung's Colour science has changed this year, they're going for a more natural approach, just like how we like it. Z Flip, note 10, and s10 still oversaturate pictures.

No, I am not. No need to get defensive since you pre-ordered one lmao, but I do work in the industry where I get access to all new phones, and frankly Samsung cameras have been disappointing for a while now. I don't need to compare IRL to see shots in the link I posted are not what I would expect from a $2000 CAD phone.
Anyways, no more Samsung posts in Xperia thread. Looking forward to new flagships, my XZ2 Premium is getting on, and I am looking to upgrade to a new 4K flagship.

I highly doubt it, mobile section has been completely removed from Sony Canada website. I have been importing my Xperias since original Z anyway, and didn't have to use warranty once. Mostly imported them from UK, but XZ2P I decided to buy from Taiwan, since they bundled SBH90C with pre-orders. Hopefully there will be a good bundle for Xperia 1 successor on clove.co.uk, wouldn't mind a free wh-1000xm3
