Yes. If you use the phone's File Manager, it is. But the physical root of the MP3 folder is the memory stick, which is "mounted" in the Sounds folder.

I hope you read again and what I'm telling people is that the assignment of the shortcut should be done with "Settings" menu and NOT via the right joystick.
But that is exactly my point. There is a bug in all firmware versions that resets the shortcuts to default everytime the phone is turned off and on again
when you assign shortcuts through the settings menu. I presume you are unaware of this bug, and are one of the lucky few who got a handset which did not have this bug, and that is why you claim to know the answer.
The real answer is, is that usually after a few attempts the phone eventually remembers the shortcuts. With mine, it took about 5 times to enter the shortcuts for the phone to remember them.
@ O2 K750i - i copied 32 pictures id taken with the phone last night onto my computer using the USB, and all were visible. I do not have that problem.
Maybe you should try a master reset and/or a memory stick format and/or reinstalling the SE pc software before claiming the phone is faulty.

@etaab, i have R1L002. i made the assignment just once. never have to assign it again, turn off the phone, assign it again, repeat 5x, to have the phone remember it.

I posted the message below on se-se.com a week or so ago, and someone replied saying it worked for him as well:
"I've had this problem with all three firmwares to date on my O2 branded K750i, but managed to work around it. Firstly, clear the shortcut assignments (go to Settings > Shortcuts, and go through each one, pressing the C key so the shortcut says ""). Then switch the phone off and back on. Then assign the shortcuts to what you want. Then switch the phone off and back on again, and they should be saved. Well, they are on mine anyway. Hope this helps."

Exactly as my R1L phone, and R1J come to think of it so it's not can't be a universal problem with that firmware release. I only changed from L to J because my phone was more trouble on L than on A!, god knows why that would be though.

Phone has locked up twice again today with R1L.
O2 grudgingly are replacing handset again.
Anyone else got crashes with R1L???
