I said, a goat is different from me!

For you the words "different" and "inferior" have the same meaning i guess!

Different as in inferior!! Coz it wont love you back, coz it wont cook for you, coz it wont wash your clothes, coz it wont surprise with romantic dinners (and all the 'pleasuring' stuff I dont want to get into! )
see we are superior!

What can it do for you besides be your dinner??
In the land of OZ they find other uses!!!

who says the animal has to do anything for us?

i have a challenge for you, find out how many cows it takes to provide nfl footballs for a year (789KBR and k4m!k4z! will be good at googling this ) its alot, would you stop watching nfl? (im not american btw) we couldnt have medicines or cleaning appliances without animal testing, its against the law not to test on animals i think, people are surviving illness because of an animal 'sacrifice' to discover the cure.

I know this was a few pages back, but if i was in pain, i wouldnt like to die, i would put up with it, theres too much to live for then to escape the pain

"I am sure people can survive without eating animals. For us, its a matter of choice.....for them its a matter of life and death."

Well the chimpanzees can live without meat in its diet yet every now and then decides to have a little meat by killing a monkey (and kills in a much more painful way than we humans do buy ripping in apart while still alive).

What exactly are we looking at in the first post? That way the animals are treated (caged) or the fact that people eat them?

The cruelty imo is the way in which they are kept before there killed, whilst the dogs are being eating they feel no pain as there dead.
People eat rabbits which many people in Europe keep and love as pets the same with horses and in some cases goats, pigs, and sheep. So the species is not relevant as we are one of the top of the food chain.
And should have to right to eat what we want

Animals are there to be killed. We just need to kill in moderation.

Its just part of life. No one bats an eye lid if you kill a insect.

Not everyone thinks so. Id like to know how you came to that bizarre conclusion!

Quote:We just need to kill in moderation.

Please explain what is "killing in moderation"?

I agree wit you there...but only till yesterday. I cannot kill an insect without battling an eyelid now!

I once again repeat that i'm not trying to be a saint here!
Since yesterday, when i saw those pics, it dawned on me how insensitive we have become!

I'm sorry if i made you feel that i'm trying to force my opinion on others!

the two discussions i see are
1. cruelty to animals - this is simple, you're either agianst it or you are sick and inhuman.
2. whether its ok to kill animals for food - more complex as we used to, like a lot of other animals, need to kill animals in order to survive but now don't need to, so is it now wrong?

“Animals are there to be killed.”

All animals play apart in the food chain so therefore most of the animal kingdom is some sort of pray (other than the obvious ones at the top of the food chain)

“We just need to kill in moderation.”

What I mean by this is not kill till extinct. Perfect example the dodo.

Now I have no problem with eating meat (as long as it’s not on the endangered spices list) and I’ll try any food once e.g. grasshopper, pigeon, ostrich.

But I am totally against any form of abuse to animals, bear dancing, fox hunting, dog/cock fighting.

But what pisses me off most is the use of animal fur. Ok it was necessary many years ago and still is in certain poorer parts of the world and even then they don’t/didn’t kill for the fur only but in the “modern world” there’s no need for it! F’ing puff daddy and all them other hip hoppers busting around in there mink coats… Barstards!
