Nor do I. The question, however, is: will I regret buying a P950? And I'm almost certain the answer will be: Yes.

So here's my plan: I'm going to keep my P910 and add a Nokia 770 when they become available.

The idea is to buy 3 or 4 770s, with an Asus WiFi 100 GB hard disk and BT adapters for the printers, to have everybody 'Netted-up in the new house.

Once I've got those, there's no need to replace my phone anymore. When my Pee dies (and may it live long and prosper!), I'll just get the smallest and cheapest Bluetooth phone I can find.

i made up mind, if the pics of the p950 r those which r above, n the form-factor is like those ugly treos, n if the specs r what we r speculating, then i am going for the Jagsar. Not long now, only 1 day for us to know whats really going to happen.

Its a pity really, if i buy the imate Jagsar, then this means i will get rid off my complete SE archive, which notably includes the P910i, T610 and the K700 (just ordered some time ago). I will also probably get a XDA-2 mini as my backup set, or maby sth (by imate ofcourse) smaller. THis is what i normally do, i dont like having sets of several different companies, its end of the love affair with SE, , but i am not left with a choice really, SE didn give me any

I don't exactly understand what people are complaining about. Nobody has actually seen the phone( well nobody that would dare show his face on a forum ). Nobody knows how UIQ3 is like. Nobody really knows how big the phone is and what the screen is like. I can't see people complaining about a phone that has a length that is only 0.5 more than a W800. I meen this phone is small. The qwerty on the body is sure more usable than the P910. People are complaining about its not a good enough upgrad ove the P910. I mean, what didn't they upgrade? This phone is quite a leap over the P910 espesially when you see the jumps SE made with P800 ->P900->P910. Also the lamest thing I've heard is the thought of ditching your whole SE collection because the leaked pictures of their next smartphone is not quite what they wanted. I have nothing against people buying other brands but to go full speed ahead and buy a couple phones from a company you haven't used before and get rid of all you other phones in the process is just stupid.

As for the design of the back. I can't say its perfect, but atleast it makes sense. I sure didn't want a K750-like cover on it. They used something functional that keeps the thickness down. I would've like 2 photoLEDs instead of one though.

@ mustafa,

if ur reply was directed, or atleast influenced by my post above, then i have to say that u completely mis-understood me. Maybe becos English isnt ur 1st lang, whateva, what i said is "IF" the pics and details r what we r seeing in this thread, then i moving away from SE. Becos what they (seem) to be doin is makn no sense to me, they r takn away the special "feel" that the "p-series" had, a pity really.

Ok, I reread your post and saw the part about not liking to have multiple OSs. English is my first language but I have the habbit of skim reading so I miss a few details.
The way I see it is you have used SE for a long time and youlike its UIs, ditching all your SEs and buying all Windows devices just dosn't make sense. At least I hope you buy one phone first before ditching your collection. A point people don't seem to get is the P950's size. P950 should be around the size of the imate Jam, if you think you should get a JasJar instead then think again. I can understand choosing between the KJam and the P950, at least they aren't that different in size. The JasJar however will be at leat twice the weight of the P950.
My main point is that for most people dumping a brand just because they don't like the design of one phone just doesn't make sense.

ofcourse i understand what u r sayn, but its just me, i dont like having sets of 2/3 makes lying around my house. So IF i dont want the P950 to replace my P910, i am gonna have to make a complete switch, and i know it'll really hurt my pocket, but i cant help it......

Ii can't believe this is the replacement for the p910. certainly judging by other manufactureres recent releases, they seem to be doing a trick where they release a phone first with similar specs to the phone it's supposed to be replacing so that people go and buy it to "keep up with the Joneses", and then a few months later, they'll actually release a proper replacement with better specs.

look at the SPV 550. it was released looking similar to a c500, but with updated controls, and a more music player bias as that seems to be where the trnds are, yet the proper replacement for the 500, the c600, won't be out until next year. in the mean time, orange will get customers who will get the 550 without waiting, and when the c600 comes out, they'll rue the decision, and either go out and get one as an extra cost upgrade, or wait a bit longer until a c650 (maybe) comes out, get that, and probably be in the same boat. It's happenning with the N-series nokias too. Call me a cynic, but if there's a chance of making a it more cash, then people will do it. Hell, SE have done it before!. is the p900 a case in point........?
