I can't seem to get past "Verifying Username and Password" screen on the EricClient software. Are my credits used up if I stop at this point?

HELP

Your credits should be ok, if it haven't identified you. If there is no "verifying...." message, maybe you are not using flashing cable....from my experience, even the server is busy, it will stop at "verifying...", not before that.

@waikincheng, Is it possible for me to upgrade my t68mc/ie to R5d using the flashing thing ? I already read the previous post but it does'nt clearly state it's possible. (more on upgrading from t68m - t68i)..If it's possible, Am I going to use the same procedure you specified ?...thanks:)

In my FAQ, I stated that "You can flash any model of T68 to any firmware." Is that clearly enough?
Also, I've said before, R5D is a T68ie verison. Upgrading from ie/mc to ie is very ordinary, mate....

@waikincheng i suppose we can also downgrade with the use of ericsclient and the help of unlocKing
? i was thinking that downgrading an mms capable T68i back to a non mms T68m would bring back its original and traditional ericsson message alert tone "teet teet" and not the current "ta ni nah" tone. who cares if we lose mms (i don't hehe because its expensive) and screen savers, i'd rather have the traditional ericsson "teet teet" (damn i miss that tone )or better yet if we could just find the the exact memory location of this message alert tone at a backed up bin, edit it.. then who knows we can do our own customized alert tones Nokia hackers have done this to 5110s 3210s, etc ... or not unless is coming up with a new firmware that can do the custom tones cause i heard a rumors they might since a lot of users are complaining re the msg alert tone volume, this will save us a lot of time and trouble and corrupted T68s

@ying
I also hope that we can customize the program of T68. However, neither you nor me is a programmer of T68 software. It is compiled, and not easily to be deassembled down...Also, flashing specific address is highly dangerous...we can't take the risk of this.
About downgrade, theoretically, there should be no problem. But honestly, no one has really tried this out, so again, do it at your own risk. Don't blame on anyone if fails.
But I suggest you to wait for the next firmware. Though I personally don't believe that we can change the message tone, it's still a hope to wait, right?

@waikincheng well i'm hoping in time and some pulling of heads together for r&d we could work on such a project, for sure a lot of ericsson users would be very happy about it :-D This post was posted from a T68i
