First two pictures taken with my K800i taken on my lunchbreak in blisteringly hot Southampton city centre:

Shot in 3mpx mode on 'fine' quality.

The quality in k800i pictures is better in some way, but k750i has better pictures and focus. All pictures ive seen so far from k800 is just more pixels in the image, not really better at depth and so on in the images.

this image from k750i is far better in quality in what ive seen so far from k800i.

But yeah, k800i does better pictures, but they just seems not shine as much as good quality pictures from k750 does, i hope they will manage to correct that in next fw.

There are thre comparison pictures between W900 (similar camera module as K750), K800 and Minolta Dimage in the link below (look for davidsic). Since the motive in all three pictures is the same, its much easier to compare than using different motives.

http://forum2.mobile-review.c[....]thread.php?p=438558#post438558

Its clear the K800 produce sharper and more detaild pictures than W900 (K750). However, the auto settings in K800 tends to produce a bluish tone (white balance needs some adjustment) and the pictures are abit to bright (exposure needs some adjustment).

Using manual setting for exposure and white balance could probably produce much better pictures.

@davidsic - Nice Alfa Romeo dude (Breva) Was that taken under 'normal' shot -settings?

Thanks for the Brera, it's a nice and beautiful car. Yes normal settings for this picture.

Arne Anka, it's not a compaison with the K750i but with the W900i...who produce warmer colour than the K750i

Pics comparison in 2 mégapixels (no settings)

W900i

K800i (also 2mp)

Minolta Dimage 3.2 mp (this picture in 2mp)

My bad davidsic. Never the less, the 2 MPX camera modules SE use is pretty much the same (or similar) all over the line covering W900, K750 etc, so the difference should not be that much.

By the way, your pictures above comparing K800, W900 and Minolta can not be enlarged (they stay small).

I have just done a comparison of the W800i pics .vs. K800i pics and I cant see a whole lot of difference, concidering the K800i camera in mathematical terms is 1.5 times the quality of the 2MP W800i.

Judge for yourself....

W800i - yes this is the w800i pic:
