Can you access voda live and download footie with the voda version of the p990?

So everyone is saying its like o2 branding (minimal - start up etc)? Thats good, one more question about the voda p990: is it locked to vodafone or sim free?
On a side note:
Anyone know how to get voda to let a customer upgrade early? I'm in my 13th month on an 18th month contract, and they said only 60 days before the end of the contract!
Need a bit of help, i even said i'll pay more/double the RRP of an upgrade price for me (that slipped out in desperation to get the p990i
)
My bills are £40-50 p/m with them (tried 'threatening' them that i'll move down to 20 p/m tariff and pay 100 to cancel my contract and go with o2 on the 25th sept to get the p990i - though the sales rep was not helpful and cut me off, saying that upgrading ws not possible... its a waste of time... very rude!!). Will try instore later on, and hopefully with the help and advice from some of you lot, i'll get my p990

Really strange thing with O2 today.
I rang yesterday and they said the P990i is in as of 25 September 2006, so this morning I decided that Vodafone are offering such stonking deals, might as well move over to them. I ring up to cancel and move over and low and behold I am told the P990i is in stock. They have charged me £79.99 on an upgrade (WHAT A DEAL). Thinking it was too good to be true I rang back to find out. Not so it has been ordered but they are saying 3-5 working days for delivery.
I will keep you all appraised.

After chasing the Parcel line van halfway down the road, i finally got my hands on my P990i. SLick phone, but somehow it doesn't feel as meaty as my trusty P900 does.
Anyway, here's the what it came loaded with: -
Phone: CXC162037 R5A006
Bluetooth: CXC162058 R4F01
Organiser: CXC162036 R3A04
CDA: CDA162008/91 R2A04
This phone was an upgrade from VF direct and has no external branding whatsoever, but it does have the startup screen and locked data settings.
I'll try an update and see what happens.

The 91 on the end of the CDA means we probably can't update the phone to remove the branding completely.
I'll ask my mate at CPW to see if he can do an unbrand for me..

Just got a email from the SE Online Store... They are selling Voda branded versions... From £100 with Contract and £569.99 Sim Free (But locked to Voda)
Giving a 2 year warranty though...
Not sure how to post the actual email...

Just got off the phone to O2. They are saying the release date for the phone is 2 October 2006 and appologise for any inconvenience. Idiots is the term that describes them best. They gave me 1 month's free line rental.

was in vodafone store in watford this evening,they had 8,but were for people who had left deposit, they wouldnt let me take one(boy did i try)should have mine from them on friday

My Mum and myself have a line each on the same account, our total bill per month is about £150 (split halfway) and we got upgrades at month 9 and 10 resepectively. I took a V1605 for £100 and my Mum was offered a P990i for £100 as well.
