nice ending mate but anyway, be sure you really encounter a huge problem before deciding to update to the latest(might sounds good) firmware.. R1CA021 to R1DB001 was a first and big mistake on my firmware update history well.. im still enjoying my K750 though

@jojo, yup, I think you've got a good point about flashing K750 with W800 f/w and vice-versa. I'm satisfied with my K750, and I don't think there's anything I need from the W800 f/w personally. There's nothing wrong with wanting to maximise our phone's capabilities, but a lot of research must be done prior to that. There's no point rushing into it and then posting "Help! My SE's bricked!". Though I'm certain I've seen a fair lot of such threads, as you undoubtedly have, jojo.

@rockygali, QuickShare, as you've both mentioned, updating f/w is not risk-free, but doing your homework in advance helps you avoid making mistakes others before you have. I feel that there are plenty of users out there who update their f/w hoping to find some new features when we all know that's hardly possible. Newer f/w usually only adds stability but seldom features. If there are no problems with our phones, then maybe we should be contented with our current f/w. And as rockygali has said, there's no harm trying out the new f/w, as long you know what you're doing.

@deluded - I am (was) seein' soooooo many members here who wanted to have the latest firmware on their fones . . . for what As a result SOME were havin' troubled-handsets after the ugrade . . . some DEAD units - worst One of the things that troubled me knowing are those peeps who have transformed their K750 to that of the W800 if they really wanted the W800, that's what should they have bought in the first place . . . not the K750 (and vise-verssa)

Im one of these people who has flashed a K750I to the W800Is firmware.

The reasons being.

1) The W800I looks bloody awful, Orange / White with a rubbish lens cover.

It looks like a Fisher Price childs toy.

2) I wanted the better media player & flight mode function from the W800I because the K750Is media player isnt that great.

Now I have a phone im 100% happy with

@ahmed & deluded - Many thanks for the nice remarks mates !

As I have said . . . flashing firmwares from a W800 to a K750 (and vice-versa) is NOT that bad though as I have seen some NEGATIVE after-upgrade/transformation-replies here . . . it's really kinda RISKY So, before buying one, better decide 100% as to what really will SUIT your likes . . . specially, that of the physical fone appearance - fascia and all (features and functions too) . . .
