Hi Sarah, I think you might have the option to turn the 'New Events' pop-up off in the settings menu.

Try that and see if you have the same problem.

i just had a quick look and i cant see how to do that. i turned it off, removed the battery and left it for a bit. its working OK now, but it reset my time and date. i have a feeling something like this will happen again!

The time and date shouldn't reset when you remove the battery. Its sounds to me like the phone may be faulty.

I would consider getting it replaced it if I was you.

it wouldn't get reset, but it does tend to leave off time if you take out the battery for too long. happens to my K800i as well.

Got myself one k550,pretty happy with it.Everything seems to be quick after compared to my k750.
The AF and saving of pics are remarkably quick and so is bt,copying...
Better media/video player,i find it useful to have support with wma,wmv,rm,h264 formats..

One thing i was a bit disappointed was the lack of flash lite themes,even though the white paper and flash lite papers mention it.

I have R1JD001.
well,it seems the phone does not support wmv3 encoded videos.
Anyone tried to play wmv at 320*240 or greater resolution?

I have the same firmware...no havent tried wmv's yet...but it will be able to play 340x220 videos...i have tried real audio which it played well
