@darkwave: the 60% to 100% jump is not a big problem. it happened with the older firmwares too.. its just something with the SEUS that SE apparently hasn't managed to fix yet. i tried my update again last night and it did the same thing again. as long as your phone is working properly you shouldn't be too worried about it
Thanks for your reply.
But at this time my phone is unavailable to use !!! It's a dead phone
why some pples can update their M600i and not us ???
Hope that problem will be fixed very soon

do you know what the weird thing is? i have NEVER had a problem with seus. it always worked from the first time. never stuck at any %. didn't ever needed to master reset or format internal disk(which i think is useless).
my phone rarely got any sudden restarts. when i read someone's post "my phone haven't restarted for a week now" i just stare at him: WTF? 3 weeks without restarts is normal for me.
and that "mb free" thing after power up is just crazy. i don't see difference between having 22,8mb or having 18mb free. do you guys really need that 4 mb free memory? do you guys always need to have so much programs open you really need every little mb free?
i don't want to insult anyone, it's just my opinion

I'm puzzled by the fuss about 20mb on startup, because as I said before, mine almost immediately drops down to around 16mb anyway, once I actually use it. Which isn't really any different to the last firmware.
Am I unusual in finding that, or is that normal for everyone else? Right now, my phone's been on for about 6 hours, I've done various things with it but right now all the apps are closed, transitions are still off, and I've got an "amazing" 14.3mb free. To be honest, that's pretty rubbish, isn't it?

i've got 15 mb and it's on since i updated. no restarts, no kernel errors. and the first time i checked the status, it showed 19,8 mb. never ever got more than 20.

I'm not saying it's not stable - it's working just fine, no restarts etc - but then so was the previous version, for me. I just don't see any real improvement in the free memory, since in actual use it's no higher than it was before. More crucially, the "leak" is most definitely still there.

Hi y'all,
I got some problems like some users have with SEUS.
I got a M600i Generic world 1, and I tried all to get the update working but no success (uninstalling, Ccleaner, disabling firewall and antivirus, tried with my second windows), nah, i'm so pissed off
It stucks always at 47%.
But now my phone is not working anymore, just the screen blinking
But as noticed by one of yours, when SEUS downloads files on the net, it goes from 60% to 100%.
What's the matter ?? I got SEUS 2.7.4.8, the last version available on the SE site.
Is Anybody have a solution ????
I dont have a solution because i bricked 2 phones of mine. Returned them to the service center and there too with direct Emma 3 the update always stopped at 51%. I emailed the problem to sony ericsson and got a reply that they are sorry for the inconvenience caused to me and tat they are looking into the problem
Today when i tried to upgrade again it worked like a charm.
The download was full 100% no jumps and the data transfer to the phone was also smooth.
Only if it had worked earlier i wouldnt have to return 2 phones

Why is it you only have less than 20MB of RAM. Since i bought my phone I always have 49MB of free RAM. I did a Master Reset after installing the latest firmware, I now have 53 MB of RAM. I installed Operamini but is is in the memory card so my internal memory still at 53MB.
