All this talk about the T610 successor, give it up the T610 evolved, there is no successor and if there was, it would have a shittier camera. The T610i wasn't the ONLY phone with VGA Camera when it launched and it definitely wasn't the best, very grainy.
Don't know where you get your facts mate, but T610 was indeed the first cameraphone to be released in Europe and USA, and hence your comment about T650 would have to have a crappier camera to be called a successor is quite silly since it was quite high tech at launch.
Like I said before, I adored my T610 and have been waiting for a successor since. A high end

without some silly branding. With no question about T650 beeing the true successor, I salute it.

I wouldn't call this the future king of non smartphones. The king is still hiding, well the queen since all SEs have female codenames. I'd think QVGA would be good enough, it would be an improvement after all.
And this is going to be expensive? More or less than the K810?

I just love the design and the material plus if it punches above its weight then even better.

I have to agree with Lasseman, I also owned a T610 when it was brand new. The T610 WAS the first camera phone, and it certainly wasn't VGA, it was CIF.
And yes it was grainy but compared to the Nokia CIF cameras that soon followed it was much clearer image.
The T610 was an advanced unit for it's day, with a comprehensive host of features such as bluetooth, ir, camera, email client, large bright screen, classic styling and many other features that had never before been seen all together on one handset.
The T650 is the T610 of 2007. No doubt about it at all.
Just for old times sake

the t650 is an evolution of the design but with modern specs
Yes, the T610 is a gorgeous phone, thanks to its classic design. In fact, I think the T610 helped SE get noticed. The T650 will surely carry on SE's legacy of chic design and functionality.
Go SE!

Still this phone takes me back to my trusty old T610. Solid reliable and functional.
Should be a hit.
Indeed.
I remember when my brother bought a T610. I went with him to the store and I remember being so jealous because the T610 looked so cool (I was using a Nokia 6610 then).
I must say that SE definitely designs great phones.
