> S500i, broken keys after 4days (

the label is on the back under the battery, and those who said week 27 is okay its not, i have a week 27 phone and 4 keys have cracked, not even 2 weeks old.

i spoke to sony ericsson UK briefly yesterday and they informed me that they also realise there is a problem with the keypads and anyone with the same problem to call them and send it back….
they told me they put “the wrong” keypads on them
The are many cases with broken keys in phones made after 27 week, even in my country (Poland).
I found some ppl in one forum, who try to contact local SE Service. When I will have some info I will post it.

I am getting a S500 black as soon as it will be out here(tomorrow or friday) knowing that I have 1 chance over 3 to have broken pads,but I am tired of my 1 year and 2 months old K800 and its free-radical joystick I can't wait Christmas to get a K850 for a fair price and nowadays there are no competitors for the S500...Samsung U600? no themes and slow camera,nokia? apart the n95 which is still very expensive nothing new and the 6500 is planned for october! so see? no I have no choice but getting a S500

Hi guys, I just got the w580 like 1˝ week ago and I can confirm that I got the same issue. My number 2 key is broken in the midle. Very sad. I have emailed SE and I hope they will fix this somehow...

My W580 was built w29 and it still cracked. I took it back to the CPW store I bought it from today but they had non in stock. It seem Sony Ericssons blame on paint/chemical reaction on green S500's only was a bit of a porky

yes, it looks like a design/materials fault. too bad it happened to this attractive looking phone :-/
