There may be some truth in that, but that's all the more reason for SE to be concentrating their efforts in developing and improving UIQ, rather than toying with their other non-smart platforms. The P990 was a long time ago, those lessons should have been learnt and built on by now, but it seems UIQ development is still just trickling along as a dissapointing side-project, for niche devices only.

Couldn't agree more.

I couriered an Open Letter to the new CEO over a month ago, in which we spelled out the problems with implementation and support of SE smartphones and suggested, nay virtually begged them to let us (forum members) help them with feedback and suggestions.

So far, no sign of a response.

SE sit, immobile and deaf. Dunno if they're paralysed by ignorance, arrogance or something else, but it'll cost them dear the way things are going.

Roll on, S60 TS.

uiq3 is not ready for se's mainstream phones like the k850 or w910. Se are now doing the only thing they can, completely refreshing uiq3 if the spy pics are anything to go by. The current uiq3 look is very outdated and usuabilty needs to be completely rethought.

Judging from those pics with the new UIQ, "User interface is key", I would say they have the right idea about what to do.

All they need now is a non-TS UI

Hi all,

Just came across this post in famous website, i thought i could share with u

To all SE fans:
I dunn know if SymbianOS stinks but A200 stinks for sure.
You need "proper" surgeon hands now to make simple shot from K850 camera(no fingers on back panel... and special Diploma to handle Cybershot).
Try to lock/unlock keypad without visual contact to "Select" sensor before you put the phone into pocket.
Do not keep display too close to your cheek while talking - you may get your sensor pad jumping to functions.
Admit that you subscribed as SE beta-tester only for 500$.
The only good thing about that phone is battery life.

That's why I still buy SE phones because it's not Symbian 60

And I do believe I'm not the only one here..

I cant accept if SE generally built their phone with Symbian, and i dont agree to if K850 use Symbian, K850 and other SE phone got their best with SE original OS, coz SE original OS was smart, beautiful, user friendly, and fast access, but i hope they will implant PDF reader, and Office editor too for their next non 3rd party OS.

SE 2006 - 2007 really dissappointing, hope next year will return to Real SE

No, you're not. I also think Symbian 60 phones are usually slow, buggy and generally not worth the trouble.
