can the "clear bass" and "clear stereo" effect be digitally produced? if so, then it would be a software thing.
if not, then maybe
really tweaked a bit of hardware to produce those "clear" sounds, just like what plankgatan has been posting.

Ok, why dont you tell me what "clear stereo " and "clear bass" is? I can understand bass being less distorted, ergo more clear, but what in the blue hell is clear stereo?

tbh, i think its just a software thing. because if it is a hardware thing then
should have been flaunting it through their adverts and press releases, right?

in a word - as to why they are not (if its hardware) - "Patents"! Not belonging to Sony/ SE.
I think its a combo of both really. Software like in codecs & algorithms to "enhance" outgoing sound; but hardware for the decoding in realtime and crispness of it all.

Yet another example of SE not keeping up with times.
So anyway this clearsound technology. Does that mean it would sound better than the W960?
