@ares,

Thank's buddy, I've read this thread and it seems the buzz is as you said the main features are finger touch which is just fine. Looks like the screens are more flush with the surface too and the D pad will be a God send! These will certainly give Nokia a run for it's money, just the thing to replace my P series with.

And watching that video above HOORAY AT LONG FING LAST SE!!! They have FINALLY fixed the utterly rubbish camera interface on the UIQ and it looks fantastic. Well Done SE! I like this phone more and more.

Thanks, laffen.

Btw, do you know whether the G900 would have wifi b/g or just b?

How about the specs, how much ram and the processor. What integrated graphics has it got and how easy is it to use plus info on the camera interface. Also can you find out if the screen is TFT and easy to see in daylight, as it's the same res as the P1i but smaller I assume it is sharper?
A comparison next to a P1i for size would be fantastic.

hey laffen, i got more of a semi personal question.
do you remember the old Ericsson prototype called RX1? do you feel that Gseries is the last step between now and the commercial launch of an RX1 type phone?
And what is your favorite phone that was annouched?

Looking back at the announcement, SE was extremely careful with our sentiments, and played a successful psychological game. Would we be happy with G900 if X1 wasn't announced? Hell NO. But knowing that there's an ultimate device we can fall back on really makes the difference. I can live with the fact that there's no HSDPA in G900 and won't jump ship as I have intended because I'm getting the X1, so I'm not so grumpy anymore. I can live with my P990 for another year and that would be fine as long as I know there's something better. Generally, SE played a smart game by quenching most of our thirsts.

Maybe it's just me, but the touchscreen + traditional key layout kind of crosses each other out..leaving them both useless either way.

Weird crossover...
