Idou is really a promising phone. Probably the phone that would save SE from losses owing to recession. Although the version of the phone that SE presented last February at Barcelona is still an early stage, I found few things that I did not like: the menu icons, lens cover construction and lack of 720p video recording capability and 3.5mm jack.
I think the menu on Omniahd is way better than Idou. The photos of SE main menu icons flotaing around the net are totally disappointing. It is not as nice looking as the icons on A200 platform. The media manger looks great but I can't understand why the menu icons looks horrible. SE better change that.
Also, I actually thought Iduo' design was just for showcase but it is how the commercial version will most likely be. I like the idea of lens cover but I find the one on Iduo's uncomfortable. The cover will surely slide down when put in a jeans' tight pocket. The device is already slightly thick and that cover does not help (construction wise). It would have been nice if the back was flat.
One more thing, Iduo doesn not have built-in 3.5mm jack and does not record video @ 720p. Isn't it supposed to be the first phone on Entertainment Unlimited line? I am aware that the known features of Iduo is not final yet and will be announced soon, but 12 megapixel alone just does not cut it.
Other cellphone makers 12 megapixel phone is on the way, packed with high-end features. SE should not waste the oppurtunity of being the first to annnounced a 12 megapixel symbian operated phone. Many customers have their eyes on Idou, a great indication of best seller phone. But Iduo's features have to be unparalled, at least, until the sales start.

About the menu icon...yeah...i know that its rather dissapoint the A200 fans...even the UIQ too..but we have to remember that this device is the first of S60 based SE phone..so SE will still develop it...maybe in the next phone project (if they still engaged actually) or the final product one maybe...
About the lens cover...hmmm...if i have this idou or any other touch screen based phone....i will be think twice to put it in my tight jeans pocket without any case... The case will protect the screen n prevent the lens cover slide itself coincidence...

The shutter speed was 1/17th second - no one can hold a mobile phone completely still for that amount of time. Besides, this was in low light.
Videos are recorded in VGA resolution.
Its ABOUT TIME!
Right on, 30fps? or higher?
