Shit!!Typo. Proper announcements.
Its good in a way. Keep to minimal products and keep updating them regularly to meet the ones provided by ther manufacturers.

I hope SE will release the long awaited A3 phones, imagine the very practical SE OS but with upgraded specs like 640x800 resolution screen, restyled apps like Accuweather and Tracker, widgets...
I have a Satio and I which it was a SE OS instead of the stup*d nokia OS

an A300 future is looking weak, seeing how with Hazel and Elm they're using updated graphics for A200....AGAIN.

I can't wait to see where SE takes their feature phone platform.

I'm sure there won't be any weird resolutions like 640x800 though.

Been using the X2 for a week and its all good stuff. I have given the pretty much retail model back and put the X2 ROM onto my X1 (you have got to love the guys at XDA-developers) and they are almost* identical. Looks like a bargain to me, the X1 that is.

Anyhow, some people have said that there are no WinMo phones but this is not true. There should be something that will run WinMo 7 from the box i.e. it should come this sort of time next year. It is a big deal to them, even if they only do one phone it is still important for their portfolio. Its obvious that Android (and the new 'A3') will take more resources but you should expect a WinMo 7 phone. Also, WinMo 7 will allow for multi touch but I would imagine that it will work on resistive screens as well. We should wait for the requirements, it could be that the X2 can run it as well, not just the HTC HD2. HTC have a number of resistive screen models for release later in the year so it would be naughty of Microsoft to restrict their OS to capacitive screens only.

We know that Kurara is on Symbian but Aino is A2 with limited touch. A2 with full touch is not too tough for to do in which case, 'A3' could have full touch capabilities. If such phones came out, I would imagine that they would be 'dumb' and sit below Symbian but A2 is already very capable and many prefer this to a smart phone anyway. A3 should be in development, A3 touch is something that has been thought of but I cannot say if it will see the light of day.

Xperia should feature at MWC, maybe some leaks before then. Expect both Symbian and Android at the show, qwerty devices also. As far as I know, there should be some phones there that haven't even had their codename leaked yet.

As well as HTC, watch out for Samsung with Bada (very nice indeed) and their Android phones. More from Nokia and Maemo as well. I guess this years flavour is OS, most have got Android in their line up so OS will be important to boost cheaper phones.

Haven't the WinMo 7 hardware requirements already been published (ex. CPU => Snapdragon/Tegra 1/2/TI OMAP 34X0) aka something more powerful than the MSM 7200A thats in the X2?

Thanks, badassmam for the wonderfully informative post, especially regarding the X2 -> X1 rom transfer that indeed adds value to the X1 making it a really good buy these days

Off to the shop!

Cheers!
