I am with you here too. I do not get the fuss at all. Very superfluous especially when reviewers mention it.

The only logical thing i can come up for this is when you want to view a movie, and dont want to hold the phone for the entire time..

Arc has decent sunlight legibility even it has poor viewing angle, I think it different from technology underlying AMOLED such a thing.
And I'm up with you guys I want some privacy when I typing some texts, what the fuss about those tech craze!

the sunlight legibility seems good.
i still feel that the mini has the no air-gap screen while the pro doesn't, can anybody confirm?
