Highest Resolution 808 is the value of working, best to change the size of an original to a 5 or 8 megapixel
Maybe someone to do similar photo in the highest resolution DSLR and add a forum for comparison

Esato photo section is made to show what phones are capable of. Lots of people go there and look at the results of their favourate future phone. I don't think it's a good idea to fill it with "real" camera photos. I think you better use Flickr or photobucket or anything similar for that.

You're right here, do not put pictures of the SLR, only to compare

I still find it quite satisfying to hold a quality camera in hand. Personally I prefer a high quality top bridge camera to DSLR. My brothers Fuji bridge camera has incredible image quality way better than the 808

I won't upload SLR photos to Esato of course.. Even phone photos I upload elsewhere. I have only three photos on Esato.
I have a Flickr account unused. Maybe it's time to use it.
And I can't share my Smugmug portfolio. I have few public galleries there, but under my full name and photos with water marks too. I'd rather stay anonymous here.
I will re-export some RAWs into JPEGs directly to Flickr from LR. And share them here.

Didn't quite get what you meant.
But here's all what we would need for comparing:

I put the 808 against the D800E (full framer), Nikon V1 (mirrorless camera with 1" sensor), and the G15 (Canon's high end compact zoom camera with 1/1.7" sensor)
You would see that the G15 does better than the 808. Let alone the other two..

It's a nice photo. But mounted on a tripod with slow SS nevertheless..
Maybe even used self timer to minimize vibrations I may guess.
And while the image if decent, it has its flaws. Halos and fringing are to be noticed at the edges. And softness at certain spots at and around the center of the image.
However at 34 MP pretty impressive!

You will have a hard time getting an image like this with the 1020.. but you might get close if you try hard enough.

Some 1020 blur the edges way too much..
this is the right side on the 1020

There are some 808s out there that exhibit similar behavior, but never as extreme as this.
It affects a pretty big chunk of the image

I think that what you are referring to as blur is actually excessive noise and it is obvious on the left side as well. Maybe Nokia 808 has a less noisy image because the photo was taken with the exposure time is 1/100 sec and with Lumia 1020 it is 1/885 sec!
