If Sony will remove the 3.5mm jack, then they opt for audio out via usb type c and provide an adapter for standard 3.5mm headphones.
While I like using BT sometimes for my headphones, I'd rather use normal wired headphones.

Personally, I've used wireless headphones for as long as I can remember, it's all wireless in my household.
However, I don't think
everyone is ready just now to make the big switch as I still see most people wired up to their phones and removing the 3.5mm might be a step too far. I think Sony would do well to still give people the choice, for now.

I think it's such a bad idea to remove 3.5mm jack right now. As far as I know not so many wireless headphone can compete with wired headphone.
Also if SONY really have to remove it SONY should enable aptx hd on Xperia first so the end user will have various choices of headphone they can use.

Personally I don't mind about analog audio jack, MDR-1000X and SRS-XB2 are already up to grab.
Also few weeks ago have a chance to try AirPods and it is working absolutely fine with XZ
only no battery percentage indication make me little bit concern, maybe it bury deep somewhere I can't find.
As an Apple Music subscriber for family plan, it serve me well.
The era of cord cutter is here to stay, folks!

Even though Sony themselves haven't confirmed their presence at MWC2017 the official floor plan shows they'll be situated at "Hall 3 Stand 3M10" and the stand is only one away from the Samsung one too. LG and Huawei have a fairly small amount of floor space at 792m2 with Sony and Samsung both having 1744m2. It looks like Sony may have something big up their sleeves with such a large floor space but only time will tell.

Since the xperia xz has started a new trend for Sony about the balance between being conservative and innovation (The triple sensors), I am highly optimistic that they have something up their sleeves.
With so many competitors, I highly doubt that Sony will be too lax to just copy what others have. After all, this is sony we are talking about.
I really hope their design for the dual-camera is better than the competition. Camera is the new game again in the mobile world. I do hope they have something groundbreaking.

That's a big stall for a company does not have a huge range of recent devices to display.
I'm guessing that they will keep their mobile phones in the running by releasing the 2017 flagship and it would be great to see a new compact tablet. The way the market is going, the Android wear market looks like it's contracting, with a few companies pulling out altogether. Would it be too much to expect a SmartWatch 4? I think so.

Are there any rumours about a new Compact phone at MWC? Because I am a little disappointed in X Compact, because it doesn't record 4K and isn't waterproof.
I think there is a market for smaller phones with high specs, so I don't understand why other manufactures isn't making more of those.

Not even S835 will support
4K@60fps video recording so I guess this feature will come no sooner than '18;
