People are starting to notice the new flagship which can only be good for sales.
Sales numbers will only translate if they have signed up with carriers and gave them a good chunk of profits to push the phone, we are talking about global level here not local. No unlocked phone sales will ever touch the numbers of carrier subsidized driven sales. But Sony is not stupid, they know they can't scratch Apple, Samsung and Huawei even if they offer their device in a carrier store and loose most of the profits because of it. OnePlus is the perfect example how throwing money on carrier push doesn't work, take a look at their sales numbers on Tmobile and compare it to the hype they had for 7 Pro, it was all over the web 24/7 yet in the end it got dropped by Tmobile cause sales were nothing. OnePlus has invested tens of millions of dollars in 7 Pro US launch and it backfired on them big time.

So who plans on picking up the M II?
I'd but it in heartbeat if it was available here in Australia but sadly Sony pulled out after the XZ2.

You can vote for the Xperia 1 II over on GSM Arena as they're running a weekly poll right now.
Sony asks for a second chance with Xperia 1 II and Xperia 10 II

I will get it of course. Maybe together with M1ST.
Anyone I choose missing some features (Actually missing some hardware for me) for the vote in GSMarena.

I'm hoping to get one but don't know what I'm gonna do yet. Especially since it won't be supporting American 5G. Not sure how they are gonna handle it and if they will be charging for something that won't be useful at all to me.
A really good European bundle would easily tempt me to import it. Why can't you also import?

Has anyone here used 5G ?
Reading reviews of 5G phones, they complain even in cities with 5G you dont get it everywhere.
One guy from Android Authority or Central said even in downtown he had issues.
You get 5G here, but not across the street, then again on next block.

sub6 5G is like going from HSUPA+ to LTE it will not make your life any better. 5G mmwave will make a revolution in communication between devices and mobile phones will have a tiny share in it unless processing brute power becomes laptop like. SO basically there are not a lot of benefits in 5G right now if you are a normal phone user.

I've had 5G in London since June. Sure there are areas where my Oneplus goes back to 4G, but it's still a step up from 4G. Was in a bar with a group of friends and we all did speed tests, they were getting 50-80 mbps on different 4G networks - I was getting 550. I'd say on average I'm getting real world 250mbps - when I switch to 4G it's around 50.
I download a lot of music while commuting and find it much faster and convenient than my previous XZ Premium.

If Sony does right with android 10, then 10 ii may have similar endurance of Z3c.
Smaller screen than XA2+/XA2U and bit more battery
