I promised I'd get the mrs a new phone to replace her t68i of 2 yrs. I asked her which she preferred and she indicated the z600. She didn't even ask about the features, she just said I like the "striped casing of the z600"

@Jussi2000
Other benefits of clamshell phones is more spacious keypad, since they don´t have to cram both keyes and display in on a small surface, and the fact that keypad and display is protected when phone is closed. I also like the feel of a clamshell phone during calls since the distance between speaker and microphone is optimal (in relation to mouth/ear placement that is )

Yes you are right, clamshell phone gives better shield for display and keyboard, but like i said before i´m gonna wait Z1010.

i think i'd like a z600, but then i look at where the camera lens is in relation to the centre of gravity of the phone and honestly don't believe i could take a photo without blur unless they use a different CCD/ CMOS with a faster response time.
the t610 in landscape mode, using an (albeit slightly off-)central lens and side camera button is close to ideal as regards layout.

maybe i am too shaky? for me i think the optimum site would be where have put the external LCD (as on the GD87) or in the spine (v200)...

now i can't decide, will have to try one to find out

This was a nice forum. Kinda familiar. Me like it!!!

Well I am that kinda guy that just loves both Z600 and T610, and if I ever get job I might by both of them... I will have the T610 inside and the Z600 when I go out

@dragontrumpetare
If the z600 i played with is representative, you won´t notice much difference i´m afraid..
On the other hand, i wasn´t too impressed by my Samsung V200 in the sun either, and that phone had the mother of all displays so far

I would assume that small problems on the T610 (like the headset crackle??) would be fixed on the Z600. Maybe that's just wishful thinking but I'd hope to at least get that sorted by

The screen to me makes sum difference too... as i solely use my phone outside.... gotta see the screen!
