the xda/mda/xdaII/etc. is about three times as heavy.
i'll take a picture of a 3650 next to an mda and post it tonight (that is in about 6 hours) if you want to. the mda is similar in size to the mdaII, so it's good enough to judge.

OK
Decision made!
I keep the P900 & theXDA2 goes back today.
Ease of use, size/weight, battery life, have won over the mass of features of the XDA2, many of which I don't need.
Picture quality at 640x480 is deffinetly better on XDA2 as is everything to do with video.
Having now seen V-rally I am more than happy with game performance of P900.
To end my saga, the XDA2 is a fantastic machine & best Pocket PC I have used. Just too big/heavy as a portable phone to carry around everywhere.
Everyone should give serious consideration to XDA2 if size/weight are not a big issue. Excellent build quality, power & features.

Does O2 and/or Orange offer it without a phone plan? Only the device?
I don't want a sim lock and I have signed a 2 yr contract with T-Mobile (over one year to go).

I am trying to justify having both...
I love the P9, but the size of the screen on XDA2 is great, stunning....
The biggest problem I had with the P800 was that it look a bit teenager for me, but the P900, looks like an adult phone with all the features to keep the younger ones happy.....

I will keep this to a minimum as PSIKEY has done such a great job of comparing the two himself, so I will not go into to much detail on the spec....
OK here goes...
Power...
The main reason that I, and I am sure many others where so interested in XDA2 was the power of the thing.
The processor and memory, both internal and upgradable are outstanding. It was just too tempting...It is an extremely powerful unit. (Please see first page for full spec). When you consider all this in a PDA, it has the spec of a Laptop.
Size...
The size is the main draw back for many people but for me was not such a problem, as I have stated before I have a 9210i (Brick), and for the size of that, the spec is crap...but the problem I have with the XDA is not the size just its shape, not at all practical in your pocket.
But for me, and I am sure the SE purist won't be happy, the P900 could be a about 10%-15% bigger.
Helping to make space for a larger Screen.
Phone...
Although the XDA is a fully functional mobile telephone, it never really felt like one, very hard to explain. The P900 is an out and out phone and it does it so well...so bloody well....
Style...
Both are very stylish, XDA very well built, when you hold it you are immediately taken aback by the build quality, feels great...
I read a post where someone said that the P900 felt a little plastic, that said, the flip on the P900 is so much better than its predecessor. I have to also mention the stylus, which on the P800 was well, for want of a better word a "Joke". However on the P900 it is much improved.
I don't think that my review would be complete if I did not mention the "street credibility" of P900.
Example, I was in the shop and these kids where making such a big deal of the P900 and when the sales assistant took it out of its box to give it to me there faces just lit up, and noises to go with it, Wow, was one of the sounds. I gave it to them to have a look at. They had it so long that the sales assitant was getting worried as I had not acutally paid for it yet.
I don't know about anyone else, but for me I pride myself on having the latest phone, and I appricate how fortuanate I am.
Now there are other manufacturers of phones whose products can pretty much do the same as the P900, but for me SE do it with much more class and sophistication.
Don't get me wrong, I am not saying that if there was a phone that had pure "street credibility" I would buy it, No. Look at the shitty little 8910i. One of the most expensive phones Nokia make, but it does nothing. On the contrary, I, like everyone else who has brought a P900, like my phone to do things.
Although this point is not an objective approach, sometimes we are ruled by our emotions.
Conclusion, (as I am sure I am boring everyone).
I will be keeping the P900 because first and foremost I wanted a phone and for me anyway, the XDA never felt like one. Because I had a P800 previously when I first used the P900 it felt so familiar, especially after using the XDA for a couple of days before.
The good of the P900 out weighs the good of the XDA. But as I said earlier I would have liked the P900 to be a little larger.
This is purely my opinion, and there is no disrespect implied or intended towards any XDA owner or future owner.
