Only certain solution if you can't get PC suit to work is do a complete clean install of your OS.
I know it is drastic but worked for me. Do a clean install of your OS & essential drivers (CD, Video, Sound etc) then install the P900 suit.
Then create a restore point (If using WinXP,ME) before putting evrything else on so you can determine if/what is causing the conflict.
Since doing this I have never had trouble with my P800 or now my P900.

Not for the firmware at this stage but you should really do the Backups .I only backup the internal memory as it takes too long with a 128MB DUO. I put the DUO in my USB reader to make a copy as its much faster than via docking station (even more so if I get a USB2 reader

).

Hi,
I am trying to update the firmware for my p900, but I keep getting a java timeout during the first step "Prepare". I turn the phone off, and click next. It comes on and goes off by itself a little while later, but thats all. There is a message saying "Initializing Deivce please wait" But nothing happens and then I get the timeout. Anyone know a solution for that?
Thanks!
