The K700 is fantastic. Especially the design.

It's good to see SE get back to their roots with the "Rubber" side grips - which are fantastic. I still fetish over the rubber back of my T68m which is great for keeping the mobile in your hand when you're on the run.

And the brushed metal? Beautiful. Only big issue is that it may scratch - if you check out a T610 thats been around, I'm sure you'll see it easily scratches.

Features? Awesome - Mp3, 40x Poly, TFT, Java 3d, VGA Cam, Flash, BT,

Only problem? No EGDE - a real dissapointment that we're stuck at slow GPRS.

My 2c.

hi.
really great phone.
now I have some questions to all those, who have more information then me about the K700:

- will it have an integrated loudspeaker/handsfree-mode?

- will it have a real address-book or simply the old "name-numbers-email"-story?

- will it have a real organizer (maybe like the Siemens S55)?

apparently no mp3 support, but it will not affect the mass market appeal, the vast majority of end users dont care about this function, not to mention the operators who really dont give a sh*t.
even if market share its not the objective of se (profitability is) I believe that 7-8% might be reached this year. (vs 5% for 2003)

what are you talking about ... just go to www.sonericsson.com/k700 > entertainment, this phone is able to play mp3's

@d_a_r_k_n_e_z_z:i think everyone disagrees with you even nokia fans and well everybody, i guess you never had an ericsson phone huh? they were just awesome is still think that t39 and t68 were the best phones of all time......
you are obviously a total sony fanatic, i bet you have all things sony at home huh? and the only thing that bothers you is the fact that it says ericsson on your phone.... but ok enough i'm just going to ignore you......

@mckinley: well my brother has bought a sony v1 and my cousin just bought a f828, and let me tell that the build quality and the pics are awesome.... so sony does make good cameras....

though nothing beats canon i agree with that, my father has a d300 and it's better than f828, though not for fun.....

I was refering to those cheap Cybershots DSC U-series without optical viewfinder, auto focus lamp and other crucial things.

Sony DSC V1 is a damn fine digital cam

i forgot to mention, YES, you can add a postal address to any entry of your phonebook. in fact the fields of each entry are endless. i think like the p800 / p900. another cool thing about k700 (and i guess s700 too) is that the first time you turn it on it opens a wizard that explains how to use the phone and the keys, with real photos, and lets you configure the many aspects of the phone in a flash, so you don't need to surf through all the menus later.

From

http://www.mobileburn.com/review.jsp?Id=653&source=HOMETOP

"The radio, or even MP3 files, can be listened to through a portable handsfree, Bluetooth headset, or through the phone’s speaker."

Don't know if this refers to "loudspeaker/handsfree-mode" or something else.
