Is it an SE battery? I don't think it would cause any trouble. Maybe increase battery life! This message was posted from a T230

have had my for abt 6 mths , after the first month the rubber quik share sticker on the front fell off, the paper internet sticker on the side too peeled off, the battery cover is squeaky, then my looses contacts stored at random, now my earphones jack doesnt conect properly plus the charger too. i think se shld have paid more attention to ruggedity than beauty.
and the battery sucks, but functionality is awesome.
i think i'll get the k750 next or the w800

I've just got an annoying bug with my original firmware R2L., i get overloaded with my network's gprs sms alerts until my it reaches full memory of 100.The smses just keep on coming till 100 smses,if i delete all, then smses come back. Now i have to keep my sms inbox full because thats the only way it will stop.I have to flash it with the R2AE firmware. :-[ This message was posted from a K700i

2tek, re: "after the first month the rubber quik share sticker on the front fell off, the paper internet sticker on the side too peeled off, the battery cover is squeaky, then my looses contacts stored at random, now my earphones jack doesnt conect properly plus the charger too."

Ditto the quickshare sticker, but on mine it said "vodafone" so I was happy to lose it! My interenet sticker is almost gone too.

I've noticed that due to the rubber protector, more dead skin collects inside the terminal block than would on an open design. My terminals were very dirty, and I'd been getting charger connectivity problems too. I thought about ripping the rubber protector off, but the terminal block seems to provide passage for dirt to the inside of the phone (more so than usual SE phones) so I decided against it.

The contacts issue can be fixed with a firmware upgrade to the latest ver. The battery cover is week. I rarely remove it so haven't had any problems.

I bought the phone originally for it's memory and form factor (I already had a vga phone, but a clamshell). It hasn't let me down in any respect of it's advertised abilities.

I do have some personal gripes, for example no audio cable for piping phone music to stereo (fixed now with the w800 audio cable accessory), music volume in ear buds too low even on highest setting, vodafone customisation (my bad, shoulda paid extra $200 for the non-vodafone one), camera quality not as good as even some cheap VGA camera phones (like sharp gx15), terminal block design (it shouldn't need a cover), and that's about it.

What I love about the phone is that it's the first phone I've had with decent memory so I can actually use the phone for games, photos, videos, downloaded videos, and a couple of mp3's (and radio). So I don't have to compromise on what I keep on my phone (like I had to do with both the T610 at 2MB and my Mot V525 at 5MB).

I have 75 of my favourite games, 200 pictures, 10MB of DL'd video, 10MB of mp3's and still heaps of space for taking photos and videos.

It was one of the first phones on the market (sans PDA's) with useable onboard memory that fully supports it's multimedia feature set.

Its strange that my little brother owns a S700i but it doesnt make me envious because i have a K700i.To be honest the S700i doesnt offer much.It got almost the same features but more advanced, like the mega pixel cam,262k screen, better built and speaker.Ok it has a larger screen and a memory card slot.Thats about all it offers new.I'm happy with the K700i and my photos come out great when developing them at a PictureMaker, even though it 0.3 mega pixel but K700i's extended 1280x960 comes out even better.:-] This message was posted from a K700i
