Still can't get the new hardware to install
Problems seem to start at the turn off fone stage so:
Unplug and wait 20 sec
Press c and plug in
If New Hardware - USB Flash pops up, point it to the new drivers you previously downloaded and unzipped
If not - go in to devices in CP/System and watch for 'Other - USB Flash' briefly appear - right click it and 'Properties' - the driver and 'Update' and point it to the new ones (if you miss it simply unplug again and repeat)
Unplug it again, wait 20s
Plug in holding 'c' and it should start updating
The screen will stay black but you can let go of 'c'
I had to take the battery out to get it to restart (heart stopper that was) but worked fine then.

Works On Orange Uk Branded too, However it does replaces the Orange icons with the normal SE icons. Much better.
The menus are a lot faster and the speed on the sms go quicker too. I didnt loose any of my settings or my contacts / pics.
The update took 15 Mins from start to finish and went with only 1 hitch and that was to down load the usb update drive.
I now have
R1J002.
I cant say for crashing yet, but will keep you posted. Im not sure what else they have done, but in my eyes. this is one of the best updates if my phone doesnt crash.

Unplug k750 from the USB cable. Uninstall all SE drivers and the PC suite. Download the new USB flash driver. Connect the phone to usb cable. When windows ask for drivers, point to folder with the new driver. Start upgrade from SE webpage.

OK So I have successfully updated the phone to R1J002. Trouble is it still shows the flipping O2 logo on the menu which I dont need as I am a Vodafone user!?
I thought it would have removed these buttons? Anyone else noticed this? And just to check, R1J002 is the latest firmware?

I wouldnt worry about going to you home page. it doesnt matter as all SE link to on site. Here you go
http://www.sonyericsson.com/s[....]5_7&zone=ps&lm=ps1_1&pid=10242
If you can read english then use this one.
No it only seems to get rid of the orange icons, so now i have near to perfect phone. And yes it doesn unlock the phone, just puts new icons on the screen
