I also can't get it to work right. Tried copying over some MP3's and the phone can't see them(and yes I know, unplug it from the cable first)

@adam, to get it back the way it came. Just format it in the phone.

Who here has a 1Gig duo? What does it say in Disk Manager? Does it have unallocated space just like 512 duo's?

FAT32. If it was FAT16, long file names wouldn't be possible.

I think found a work around,

I deleted the partion, and then formated it on the phone, after that I deleted it again and made it again on the PC so I have one fresh big partion. Then I formated it in FAT32 and after that I scandisked that partion, then I analysed it and defragmentated it, then analysed it again and defragmantated it again, after that I scandisked it again and... well... now it looks like its working again *properly*

dont store the music in MP3's, store it in "MSSEMC Media file saudio"
and it doesnt have any problems...

well, till now it looks like its working again... hope it will remain that way...

if anything changes I will let you know

I remebered that on my memcard there was a file called "memstick.ind" so i looked it up. it appears to be a indexing file of some sort... so i put one from another card onto my newly formatted card. I'll see if this file makes any difference and post any changes.
